Call for Mini-Symposia Proposals
The Organising Committee of the 16th International Conference on Fracture (ICF16) invites proposals for Mini-Symposia to be included in the conference program. Mini-symposia are a key feature of the conference, offering a platform to explore focused topics in structural integrity, fracture mechanics, fatigue, damage tolerance and related disciplines while fostering collaboration among researchers and practitioners.
Scope and Topics
Proposals are encouraged in all areas of fracture, fatigue and structural integrity, including (but not limited to):
- Computational, theoretical, and experimental fracture mechanics
- Fracture mechanics of metals, polymers, ceramics and composites
- Fracture in biological and soft materials
- Fatigue, damage, and failure analysis
- Dynamic fracture and impact
- Fracture in extreme environments
- Microstructural effects on fracture
- Industrial applications and case studies
- Emerging and interdisciplinary topics
Proposal Guidelines
Each proposal should include:
- Title of the mini-symposium
- Names, affiliations, and contact details of organizers
- Summary (up to 250 words outlining the theme and significance)
- List of potential invited speakers (if available)
- Keywords (Up to five separated by comma)
- Number of sessions requested (typically 1–3 sessions; each session ~2 hours)
Important Dates
Proposal submission deadline: 30 September 2026
Notification of acceptance: 31 October 2026
Conference dates: 28 June - 2 July 2027
